Ooredoo yesterday announced that all new Shahry data pack subscribes would receive their first month’s data for free.
The free data offer has been designed specifically for the next generation of customers that consume more data due to their Smartphone’s capabilities and smart lifestyle.
The offer gives all new Shahry data subscribers the first month of their subscription completely free-of-charge, and through this offer Ooredoo aim to give all their customers a chance to sample the high speeds of the 4G network.
The promotion, which will run until 30 June, 2014 will allow Smartphone users in Qatar to stream, download, post to social media sites and transfer documents online at high speeds. Depending on their chosen data pack, customers can sample up to 6GB worth of free data.
According to the UN Broadband Commission’s State of Broadband Report 2013, the demand for Internet data is high in Qatar with the country ranked first among the developing world in terms of percentage of individuals that use the Internet (88.1%).
The one-month free promotion is applicable to all new subscribers, who purchase the 1GB, 3GB or 6GB data pack from Ooredoo’s Mobile Internet Packs (MIPs), BlackBerry bundles or Mobile Broadband (MBB). Bundles start from just QR60 for Shahry customers. Shahry data packs come in denominations of QR60 for 1GB, QR80 for 3GB, and QR100 for 6GB. To subscribe to an Ooredoo mobile Internet pack and begin their one month free trial, Shahry customers need to SMS “MIP< amount>” to 114.
Ooredoo’s 4G network provides access to the fastest mobile Internet speeds in Qatar. Access is available for free for all customers with a 4G enabled phone by sending the keyword ‘4G’ to 114 for Shahry customers.
