Alain Dioko
Top Goalscorer Al AHLI
|
In round 24 of the Qatar Stars League Al Ahli’s Alain Dioko surpassed last season’s top scorer Sebastian Soria who had a tally of 19 goals for the 2012/13 season. |
Dioko continues unabated with his incredible run of goals and now has 20 for the season. Amazingly only two of his 20 goals are from the penalty spot and the majority of the rest are from a mixture of dead ball and open play situations.
Dioko has scored 20 goals in 24 appearances, followed by Sebastian Saez is with 14 Khalfan Ibrahim 13, Wanderley 12 and Soria 12.
A mention for Sebastian Saez, the striker for Al Wakrah is most certainly warranted as the Argentine scored a hat-trick last weekend against QSC but he also broke the record for the most shots in one game over the last 3 seasons with an awesome 11 shots on goal, 7 of which were on target.

Gregory Diranth Gomis of Al Sailiya has now got an amazing 85 top saves for the season passing Rayyan’s Omar Bari who got 64 top saves last season. The Sailiya keeper has been consistently first for top saves for the majority of the season which means that he is a solid goal keeper but also that Sailiya as a team allow too many shots to go unimpeded into the box.
