Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are well placed to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League after thrashing Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea at home in the quarter-final first legs yesterday.
Real caned feeble Dortmund 3-0 - with goals from Gareth Bale, Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo - PSG beat surprisingly dull Chelsea 3-1, with Ezequiel Lavezzi calling the shots.
The second legs will be played on April 8.
Tuesday saw defending champions Bayern Munich battle out a 1-1 draw at Manchester United and Atletico Madrid get a promising 1-1 draw at Barcelona.
