Enjoyable programme

Last week I witnessed a programme staged by the Changanassery NSS College Alumni group at Birla Public School Auditorium.
The programme, “Hrudayasadass”, was hugely enjoyable. It enthralled the audience and it was superbly organised.
The programme featured Sreekumaran Thampi who has excelled as a lyricist, director, producer, and screenwriter in the Malayalam film world.
Thampi spoke about some 25 songs which he had written for various Malayalam films. He described the situation of each song enacted in films and after that artistes performed the sequence on the stage.
The programme’s lead singer was Kallara Gopan. He was joined by some talented singers from Qatar. The local singers, Manikandan, Riyas, Nidhi and Jose, wowed the gathering.
I appreciate the programme organisers for encouraging local singers. I also request other stage programme organisers in Qatar to give exposure to local talents so they can improve their performance.
I congratulate the Changanassery NSS College Alumni for the disciplined and well-organised programme.

Apple connection
Dear Sir,
I was curious to find a new brand of apples in the local market. Their name: Modi.
I am sure they have nothing to do with the Indian politician Narendra Modi who is the opposition BJP prime ministerial candidate, especially since the so-called Modi apples originate from Italy, the birthplace of Sonia Gandhi, the ruling Congress party leader.
