French President Francois Hollande has met Qatar’s Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah at the Elysee Palace. The minister is currently visiting Paris. HE Major General al-Attiyah conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the French President and his wishes for further progress and prosperity. President Hollande asked the Minister of State for Defence Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Emir and his wishes of further progress and development. Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields, as well as issues of common concern. HE Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah earlier met with French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss issues of common interest.
