Alfardan provides cars for Gulf Traffic Week VIPs

Displaying an array of its most advanced vehicles such as the Jaguar XJ, Land Rover LR4, BMW X5 and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, Alfardan Automotive Group took part in the weeklong programme that was attended by scores of high-ranking traffic officials from across the GCC.

Alfardan Automobiles also provided a fleet of more than 12 vehicles - BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series - to transport GCC VIP officials attending the 30th GCC Traffic Week.

Road awareness and traffic safety are key issues that we should all truly consider and firmly instill in our community. The Traffic Department and the Ministry of Interior of Qatar have spared no effort in crafting an annual road awareness programme that brings together the young and adults to better understand the importance of road morals. The GCC Traffic Week is one in a series of initiatives that are being organised year on year. Others include the Schools without Accidents campaign, reaching out to students and promoting knowledge of safety on the road.”

The 30th GCC Traffic Week, held under the theme ‘Your Safety is Our Goal’, opened last week at a ceremony in Doha. The opening ceremony was attended by Director-General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi, Traffic Department Director Brigadier Mohamed Saad al-Kharji, a number of directors of departments of the Ministry of Interior, heads and members of the delegations of the GCC participants and a large gathering of citizens and residents.

The exhibition included a number of pavilions for participating companies and institutions to showcase their methods and procedures, as well as publications for traffic safety.
