HE Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday participated in the 31st session of Arab Interior Ministers’ Council, which began in Marrakesh.
The two-day meeting brings together Arab interior ministers with high-profile delegations including representatives of the Arab League, GCC, the Arab Maghreb Union, the International Police Organisation (Interpol), the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO), the Arab Tourism Organisation, the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), Nayef Arab University of Security Studies and Arab Police Sport Federation.
The participants are to discuss a report of Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Mohamed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, who is also the honourable president Arab Interior Ministers’ Council and the President of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, on the activities of the said university in two terms of the council and a report of the secretary-general of the council on the work of Secretariat-General during 2013.
On the sidelines of the meeting he met with Moroccan Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad, Jordan’s Interior Minister Hussein Hazza Al Majali and Kuwaiti Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohamed Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah. Discussions during the meetings dealt with fraternal ties between the two countries as well as topics on agenda of the session.
