Emir phones Sultan Qaboos
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday spoke to Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said over the phone.
The two sides reviewed relations between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them in addition to the latest regional developments.
Cables of congratulations to Ghana
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Ghana on the occasion of the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.
HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Ghana.
Halal Hal festival
starts March 22

Halal Hal Qatar Festival starting March 22 at the Katara Culture Village will feature animal husbandry, the practice of selectively breeding and raising livestock, their health and care. At the farm animal festival, organised by Cultural Village Foundation Katara for the third successive year, owners will showcase elements of goats and sheep care and grazing. The festival will present three main activities - Al-Mazaiyn, will show the beauty of goats and sheep; Al-Mazad (public sale), selling groups of livestock through auction; and Al-Izab, group of barns, each containing different livestock.
The festival will be held from 10am to 10pm at Katara’s Southern Area from March 22-31.
