Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) yesterday launched its new Primary Healthcare Centre and will provide primary medical services to all its employees and students within Education City.

The launch ceremony was held at Hamad bin Khalifa Student Centre in the presence of Jassim Telefat, group executive director of Qatar Foundation Capital Projects and Facilities Management, and Fahad Saad al-Qahtani, group executive director of Qatar Foundation Administration, in addition to other distinguished guests.

Saad al-Muhannadi, president of QF, said: “Qatar Foundation’s employees are its most valuable resource and the key element of its continued success. Therefore, we believe it our utmost duty to ensure their health and well-being and support this initiative that will join and subsequently complement Qatar Foundation’s existing health initiatives.”

The new Primary Healthcare Centre provides varieties of medical and dental services to QF employees and students, free of charge, on both scheduled and emergency basis. The Health, Safety, Security & Environment Directorate also operates its own ambulance service throughout the QF campus for medical emergencies.

The launch of the Primary Healthcare Centre is QF’s latest initiative to develop the community by promoting health awareness and contributing to the provision of necessary medical care for everyone in the Qatar Foundation family.

The medical facility offers comprehensive, high-quality, professional medical healthcare services, with highly qualified medical staff operating advanced medical equipment.

Sheikha Amal al-Thani, Health, Safety, Security & Environment executive director, said: “The scope of medical services includes curative medical treatment, preventive medical treatment, emergency medical treatment, healthy lifestyle programme education, immunisation programmes, diagnosis and treatment of medical illness, dental services, laboratory services, psychological consultations, radiological services and health awareness campaigns.”

The new healthcare centre will be open between 7.30am and 8.30pm from Sunday to Thursday and between 12noon and 8pm on Saturday. It will be closed on Friday.
