Qatari billiards players produced an impressive performance to win the team title in the West Asian Billiards and Snooker Championships in Doha on Friday. The Qatari ‘A’ team comprising Bashar Hussain and Ali al-Obaidly defeated Kuwaitis Badr al-Owadi and Abdulatif al-Yousef (11-6) in the final match. The Qatar ‘B’ represented by Abdulatif al-Fawal and Mohamed Saieed won the bronze medal in the billiards team event, while the Qatar ‘A’ comprising Mohsen Bokshaisha and Mahanna al-Obaidely took the bronze in the snooker team event. Mohamed al-Ramzani, President, Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation (QBSF), Mohamed Salem al-Nuaimi, Secretary General, presented the prizes to the winners. The prestigious
championships  brought  together 60 players representing 12 countries , including  hosts Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Iran, KSA, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, Jordan, Kuwait, Palestine, Bahrain and Yemen. (QNA)
