The Police Training Institute, in association with Fairfax County Police (US) and College of Policing (UK), is holding a two-week training workshop for policemen and first warrant officers to expound the skills needed for the search and arrest of criminals as well as a special workshop for airport cadres on interpersonal skills.
The workshops started on January 26.
A prominent American consultant, Thomas Faclawicik, is delivering lectures on the skills and expertise needed for executing search and arrest operations and the methods of dealing with people while searching houses and vehicles.
Experts from UK College of Policing Stephen Berg and Robert Eschore will present lectures on the responsibilities of airport officials and the methods of dealing with people, including helping and guiding passengers.
The workshops have been organised as part of the annual training programme (2013-14).
