Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades will arrive in Doha today on an official visit to Qatar.
President Anastasiades will be accompanied by First Lady Andri Anastasiades.
The high-level delegation will include Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis, Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis, government spokesman Christos Stylianides, Undersecretary to the President Constantinos Petrides, and director of the president’s diplomatic office Nicos Christodoulides.
Tomorrow, President Anastasiades will meet the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority, followed by a meeting with HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and talks between the delegations of the two countries.
A number of agreements are expected to be signed between Cyprus and Qatar regarding bilateral co-operation in the fields of education, energy, desalination, water waste treatment and legal affairs.
During his visit President Anastasiades will tour the Museum of Islamic Art, meet  representatives of the Qatari Islamic Bank, and a delegation of the Qatari Business Association.
Tomorrow evening, the Cypriot delegation will attend a reception hosted by the Cyprus embassy in Doha, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) and the Cyprus Qatar Business Association.
On Tuesday, the president will address the Business Forum organised by KEVE and the responding Chamber of Qatar, under the auspices of the HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
A protocol of co-operation will be signed between the Chambers of Commerce of Cyprus and Qatar.
Later President Anastasiades will meet representatives of the real estate investment company Qatari Diar.
The president and the Cypriot delegation will return to Cyprus on Tuesday evening.
