RasGas made a “strong presence” at the 7th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), which concluded in Doha on Wednesday.
On the opening day of the four-day event, Nafez Bseiso, RasGas chief venture officer featured on a panel discussion entitled ‘The Future of Integrated Project Management in a Cyclic Environment’ where he explored the different drivers for project owners and contractors and the way forward for creating win-win situations.
On the closing day, RasGas chief operations officer Hamad Mubarak al-Muhannadi was a panelist discussing ‘Delivering on Evolving Stakeholder Expectations.’
Al-Muhannadi spoke about the importance of human capital and attracting and retaining talent.
RasGas was also represented by some 15 presenters who shared their expertise on various technical topics ranging from health and safety to drilling optimisation and gas processing. They drew on their experience working on the company’s “impressive portfolio” of operation facilities including the recently-operational Helium 2 facility – the world’s largest - and the $10.3bn Barzan Gas Project.
IPTC 2014 was RasGas’ 7th consecutive participation in the event, of which it was a principal sponsor.
