Doha: Manchester United and DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics provider delivered the Barclays Premier League trophy to Doha on January 16 as part of a worldwide tour.

To celebrate the club’s historic 20th league title, Manchester United teamed up with its Official Logistics Partner, DHL, to launch the United Trophy Tour. Logistics experts DHL will transport the Premier League trophy to 31 destinations in 25 countries across the globe over the coming months.

Nael Attiyat, country manager of DHL Express Qatar, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase how DHL delivers one of the world’s most successful sporting clubs to the world. DHL shares the commitment to excellence that Manchester United displays year after year on the football pitch, and we were thrilled to participate in this celebration of the Club’s sporting success with fans, customers and employees in Qatar.”

Group Managing Director for Manchester United, Richard Arnold said: “Manchester United has 659 million followers across the world and this tour provides a unique opportunity for many of these fans to directly engage with the Club in an exciting new format.”

The Tour activities in Doha included a customer event to view the trophy and accompanying the Premier League trophy was former Manchester United player Dwight Yorke.
