Mickey Mouse and his friends will return to Qatar for another crowd-pulling family entertainment show at the Qatar National Convention Centre from February 12-16.

The popular Disney character will be joined by Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy on stage, this time for a unique and enchanting musical festival.

Following the successful staging of the “Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic,” the upcoming show is expected to enthrall and engage both parents and children during the actual performance.

Concert-goers will be hearing some of the greatest hits from blockbuster movies such as Disney’s Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Disney Pixar’s Toy Story remixed to rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop, jazz and country.

In a press statement, the Qatar Tourism Authority said bringing Disney shows to the country has given residents of Qatar and its neighbouring states a unique and exciting family entertainment.

“The Disney entertainment brand is a great fit for Qatar and its vision to make it the ultimate family destination in the Middle East,” stressed Rashed Alqurese, director of Marketing and Promotion Department at QTA.

Dubbed as “Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival”, the show will bring 25 popular characters on stage with a state-of-the-art video projection back up of the frenzy backstage. They will entertain the crowd with their hip hop beats, dizzying acrobatics, flying carpets and magical transformations with Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie. 

The musical festival will not be complete without Ariel, Sebastian and their nautical pals to groove to the reggae rhythm. Family and friends will stomp to the beat as Woody, Buzz and Jessie teach them how to boogie rodeo-style.

Produced by Feld Entertainment and brought to Doha by QTA, “Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival” was organised by Sport and Entertainment Solutions. It is the sixth incarnation since its creation in 2004.

QTA noted that the show recently completed a tour of Turkey and Cyprus with a cast of local performers.

Tickets priced at QR150, QR250, QR375 and QR1,000 (VIP) will be on sale from tomorrow at Virgin Megastores. Early bird tickets start from QR125.
