HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, secretary general of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) met HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, president of Brunei Olympic Committee and Football Federation, at the QOC headquarters yesterday.
Sheikh Saoud greeted the senior Brunei official, who is on an official visit at Qatar, and stressed the importance of effective co-operation between the two countries to serve their sport development effort.
Talks during the meeting focused on ways of expanding common co-operation between Qatar and Brunei especially in the field of sport. Both sides also reviewed the possibility of Brunei to benefit from Qatar’s experience in “Schools Olympic Program” and “National Sport Day”.
HRH Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah applauded Qatar’s comprehensive development in the sports infrastructure and its ambitious strategy for development in all fields especially sport. He also lauded Qatar’s professional abilities in hosting major international sport events.
The meeting was attended by Fisal Saleh al-Mansoori, director of the QOC Public Relations and Marketing Department.
