The Ministry of Environment (MoE) has announced its support to ‘Estedama-Qatar International Sustainability Conference and Exhibition’ as official sponsor.

The exhibition and conference, scheduled for October 2014, will showcase an overview of the latest technologies and products on environment protection and sustainable
development in all sectors.

The announcement came during a meeting held at the MoE to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ministry and representatives of the organising committee of the exhibition in the presence of Ahmed Mohamed al-Sada, under-secretary for environmental affairs; Ali Sultan al-Ghanim, manager, public relations and communications unit at MoE; Sheikha Noor bint Jassim al-Thani, president of Doha Oasis and chairman of Estedama; and Qasim al-Radaideh, CEO of the organising company and CEO of Estedama .

Al-Sada said that the ministry will provide expertise, consultancy, research and process required during the conference which will be held alongside the
exhibition.

He added: “We are committed to work within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030, and environmental development is a fundamental pillar of this.”

Sheikha Noor said: “Estedama will help achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030 and we are on the path of change for the better.”

Estedama will address the development of environmental awareness in the community through innovative events and workshops. Sponsors of Estedama include the Qatar Chamber, Qatar Tourism Authority, and Friends of the
Environment Centre.
