The Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) recently participated in the Eighth Sponsorship and Internship Career Forum at Qatar University’s College of Business and Economics.
The event connected students with some of Qatar’s top companies, fostering discussions about sponsorship and internship opportunities.
“The Sponsorship and Internship Forum was an important platform that connected Qatari students, job seekers and employers. During the four-day event, HMC recorded over 120 significant contacts. We are currently following up on these applicants,” HMC’s Human Resources executive director Fatima Haider said.
HMC, represented by the Human Resources Department, exhibited at the event, offering students an opportunity to ask questions and seek advice about sponsorship, internship, training and future employment opportunities with the Corporation.
“At HMC, there are many areas of specialisation on offer for job seekers. Employment at HMC provides young graduates with a secure future and valuable work experience, while also helping them make an important contribution to building their country’s future,” Haider explained.
Also at the event, HMC piloted a new evaluation scheme, asking students who visited the Corporation’s booth to complete a short written questionnaire pertaining to how they view HMC and what motivates their career choices.
“At HMC, we understand the importance of recruiting the right people, in the right roles. Maximising employee potential is a top priority and each young graduate who joins HMC is viewed as an investment,” Haider stressed.
Students who completed the questionnaire were invited to enter a draw to win one of two prize packages. The winners received their prize at HMC’s Human Resources offices earlier this month.
One of the prize winners receives his gift from an HMC official.
