The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has celebrated Qatar National Day with a wide range of programmes and activities involving its various departments. |
Among other places, MoI has been involved in celebrations at the Abu Samra border post and Doha International Airport (DIA).
The Airport Security and Passports Department distributed gifts among passengers arriving at DIA, those working at the airport, airline staff and Customs personnel to mark the special occasion. The initiative was aimed at enhancing co-operation and strengthening the bond between security personnel, citizens, residents and visitors to the State.
The gift-distribution ceremony was attended by several senior officials and employees. A group of employees from affiliated departments distributed gifts to travellers and airport staff.

Various activities were organised as part of the festivities, which also included a luncheon in honour of the attendees and staff as well as the distribution of gifts and souvenirs.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence celebrated National Day through awareness programmes on safety and security, activities for children, theatrical performances and more.
Gifts were given to children and the programme also included the distribution of publications and posters to spread safety awareness.
The Capital Security Department marked the occasion by holding a special celebration, which included the distribution of gifts and flowers to employees and affiliates.
