The award-winning team of Sharq Village and Spa chefs
The culinary brigade of Sharq Village and Spa has won five medals at the 2012 Diyafa exhibition.
The Sharq Village and Spa chefs participated in a total of seven categories. A gold medal was awarded to kitchen artist chef Godbery Daniel Jeyaraje for best ‘novelty cake’ category.
Executive sous chef Das Janardan, and chef de partie Shiv Prakash received a silver medal in the ‘live cooking’ category.
Three bronze medals were awarded to chef de partie Varun Raj for ‘fresh fours’ segment, chef de partie Samer Labbad for ‘Arabic mezze’ and commis Chaminda Rakman for ‘best wedding cake’ category.
“We are proud of our award-winning team for their achievement in 2012 Diyafa Exhibition, and their ability to showcase their culinary skills to the community,” said executive chef Hassan Abdullah.
