Al Meera Consumer Goods Co has announced the opening of its new branch in Al Qutaifiya.
The opening of the branch is in line with Al Meera’s strategic expansion plan in the Qatari market, which adheres to its motto “The Favorite Neighborhood Retailer.”
Al Qutaifiya branch consists of a ground floor complex that includes Al Meera supermarket, shopping outlets and restaurants providing diverse customers with their daily needs. The new mall will be the only branch among all Al Meera stores to open its doors to the area’s residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The opening is an additional step towards achieving the company’s aim to opening more stores in Qatar and being the nearest supermarket of choice for all residents. In parallel, Al Meera is proceeding with its on-going plan of rejuvenation and maintenance of its old branches.
Dr Mohamed bin Nasser al-Qahtani, deputy chief executive officer, Al Meera, said: “Al Qutaifiya branch opening is a new proof of Al Meera’s constant intention to enhance services, diversify consuming goods for customers, and offering a unique shopping experience in a comfortable and newly-equipped spacious place, operating 24/7 in order to fulfill our customers’ needs any time they want.”
The selling area of Al Meera supermarket at Al Qutaifiya reaches 850sqm, while the total area of the branch is around 3,125sqm.
With the recent openings of Nuaija and Al Qutaifiya stores, Al Meera currently operates through 33 branches in Qatar while the construction of new seven shopping malls has already started at Rawdat Ekdeem, Al Azizia, Zakhira, Al Wajba, Muaither, Al Wakra, and Al Thumama. In addition, Al Meera operates through five branches in Oman.
Al Meera aims to get the construction’s phase of the new malls accomplished by the end 2014, in order to achieve a wider spread that satisfies its customers.
