Nakilat recently held a company-wide employee forum as part of its commitment to the continuous improvement of staff communications and operations.
Promoting the theme “Commitment to a high-performance team”, more than 200 employees from Nakilat and its joint-venture companies participated in the forum, an internal communication and interactive participation event.
The forum focused on enhancing employee networking and provided updates on the company’s business, plans and objectives across the wide range of marine activity that Nakilat, along with Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM), Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ) and Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW), is involved in.
It also gave employees the opportunity to share their experiences in Nakilat and highlight the challenges they face and gathered their feedback and suggestions for both individual and corporate continuous improvement.
Nakilat managing director Abdullah Fadhalah al-Sulaiti said, “Our employees are the most important asset of our company and one of Nakilat’s strategic pillars. The fundamental role of the employee forum is to continually build the necessary communications, understanding and knowledge of Nakilat’s workforce to support the business strategy and contribute towards achieving its vision to be the world’s leading owner and operator of vessels for the transportation of LNG and associated products, and to be the provider of choice for ship repair and construction services.”
“Nakilat’s continued success depends on the knowledge and dedication of its employees. The company regards the participation and commitment of its personnel as a key element in our corporate culture, which is pivotal in running a safe, reliable and environment-sensitive company,” he added.
Al-Sulaiti highlighted that the hard work and devotion of employees plays a vital role in Nakilat and its joint-venture companies accomplishing new achievements in all areas of its business. During the session, employees had the chance to provide their feedback to the company and ask questions directly to the managing director.
The Nakilat Employee Forum is one of several initiatives that give employees the opportunity to engage in open discussion with the company’s senior management, underlining their active involvement in the firm’s success.
