The World Travel Awards has selected La Cigale Hotel Doha to host its 20th anniversary grand final ceremony.
The event, which will be held at Al Wajba Ballroom on November 30, will bring together more than 700 guests, including ambassadors, prominent figures, leading travel, tourism and hospitality professionals as well as local and international media representatives.
World Travel Awards Group senior vice-president Kevin Taylor said, “We are thrilled to take the World Travel Awards to Doha, Qatar, for the second time, and to have La Cigale Hotel as (the) host is an extra delight for us. Over the years, the World Travel Awards winner’s shield has become trusted by the travel industry and leisure and business travellers as signifying excellence in quality of product and service, and we are looking forward to the next 20 years.”
The ceremony will highlight La Cigale’s hospitality and signify an important association between La Cigale Hotel and the World Travel Awards - known as the “Oscars of the travel industry”.
Housni El Yaman, director of sales and marketing at La Cigale Hotel, said: “La Cigale Hotel is privileged to host the World Travel Awards Final gala ceremony at its unique Al Wajba ballroom. With our Qatari hospitality and impressive entertainment programme, we are proud to bring this event for the second time to Doha.”
He added, “We are delighted to be associated with our corporate event partner QNB and main sponsor Doha Insurance Company, who are contributing to support the Qatari hospitality and tourism industry.”
The ceremony will feature top celebrities from the Middle East such as Lebanese artiste Maya Diab, who will headline the event, the Enana dance group and electric violinist Micah.
Winners will be announced by Ece Vahapoglu, the master of ceremonies, who is a well-known Turkish broadcaster and media personality with her own TV shows and bestseller books.
