Aamal Company has signed an agreement with Qatar Football Association (QFA) as part of efforts to promote sports in the country.
Aamal chairman Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani and QFA president Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani inked the agreement yesterday paving way for Aamal to sponsor the National A men’s team, HH Emiri Cup, Sheikh Jassim Cup, Qatar Gas League and Qatar Futsal League for the 2013/2014 season.
“Continuing our sponsorship agreement with Aamal is a testament of the successful relationship we had over the past year and it is in line with QFA 2021 vision. We look forward to further co-operation that will benefit both parties”, Sheikh Hamad said.
He said continuous co-operation with strategic sponsorship partners such as leading Qatari companies will benefit participating football clubs and the championships organised by QFA, which is keen on choosing prestigious sponsors who have contributed greatly to the local community.
“The development of sport in Qatar is an important objective of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and is highlighted by Qatar hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. We are determined to play a proactive and responsible role in promoting sports,” Sheikh Faisal said.
