The French embassy in Qatar and the Qatari Businessmen Association will host a seminar titled “Exploring Qatari-French business opportunities in the sport industry”.
The seminar slated for 11am on November 18, at The Torch Hotel, is sponsored by the Qatari-French Business Club, the French Trade Advisors and Ubifrance.
The seminar is expected to attract local Qatari companies and more than 40 French companies working in the sport industry. Denis Masseglia, president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) will also attend the event.
The event aims at introducing the “French Team for Sport”, an initiative to promote the French knowhow, in the Qatari market and make use of the French expertise to participate in the implementation of sport related projects.
Gathering more than 100 companies, from SME to large groups, this initiative is structured around four sectorial clusters - construction and transportation, energy and environment, security and telecommunications and communication and event management. It aims to offer integrated solutions on the whole sporting event’s value chain and provide innovative responses to address the challenges faced by Qatar in organising sporting events.
