Carrefour will host Lightning McQueen, the hero of Disney animated films Cars and Cars 2, for the first time in Qatar.
The life-size Lightning McQueen will be featured at Carrefour outlets in City Center Doha (October 10 to 12), Landmark (October 13 to 16) and Villagio (October 17 to 19). Lightning Mcqueen, typically referred to by the surname McQueen, is an anthropomorphic racecar in the 2006 animated film Cars and its sequel Cars 2. The character was named after Pixar animator Glenn McQueen, who died of melanoma, as well as after noted racing buff Steve McQueen.
Carrefour is organising the exhibition of Lightning McQueen as part of the Eid al-Adha celebrations in Qatar. The event aims to entertain and offer souvenir photograph opportunities to children visiting Carrefour during the holidays.
