Mubarak al-Khulaifi

International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) has appointed Mubarak Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi as the new head of branches.
Al-Khulaifi will be responsible for managing a network of nine branches with a team of staff spread across Qatar. He joined IBQ in 2009 as branch manager and was promoted to senior branch manager in 2011. He also played a significant role in establishing the bank’s operations at its airport and Qatar Airways branches. Further, he attended and successfully passed a series of training and strategic thinking programmes at the bank.
“Attracting and developing national workforce is IBQ’s fundamental goal, which we always seek to achieve. We’re very pleased to have the distinct group of female and male Qataris working among the IBQ team. We strongly believe in their vital role contributing to advancing the bank’s growth and development. This stems from our support of the country’s endeavours in Qatarisation,” said Jabra Ghandour, managing director, IBQ.
“Mubarak is an exemplar for all of our talented Qatari team who has been strongly committed to our success and has actually been its core driving force,” Ghandour added.
