In praise of HMC doctors
Dear Sir,
Through this letter I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and profound appreciation to the skilled heart surgeons of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) who saved my life.
The Heart Hospital’s two surgeons, Dr Abdul Wahid al-Mulla and Dr Mohamed Nasser Moghul, mean so much to me and my family as they have given me a fresh lease of life.
I have consulted many doctors and visited many hospitals both in my home country and abroad, but the Heart Hospital under the Hamad Medical Corporation stands out as an extraordinary institution. I am short of words to describe the compassion and understanding shown by the two doctors throughout my stay at the hospital.
They were considerate and supportive towards my family members who were extremely anxious about my condition.
Once the cause for my ill-health was diagnosed, the surgeons painstakingly explained everything about the surgery in order to make us feel at ease. What made their gesture extraordinary was that they reassured not just me - the patient - but also my loved ones who were under great stress.
After the surgery they took pains to explain everything that had happened during the operation. Drawing from my own experience at this great healthcare institution, I can confidently say that its doctors have surpassed all patient expectations.
Besides being wonderful doctors, both Dr al-Mulla and Dr Moghul are amazing human beings. Their talent both inside the operation theatre and outside it holds out a beacon of hope for all their future patients.
I also want to express my gratitude to the hospital’s nurses and other medical staff for all the assistance they provided us throughout my stay at the institution.
May the Almighty always bless them all!

Traffic nightmare
Dear Sir,
Traffic congestion on Doha’s roads has become worse these days. Previously there were traffic jams, but they weren’t as bad as now.
During the morning and afternoon rush hours, the roads are clogged with traffic.
I feel all school buses should ideally be diverted to some alternative routes to ease the traffic.
Many man hours are being wasted in traffic now.
Traffic authorities should take urgent steps to solve this problem and help people reach their destinations on time.
