“It is a matter of great pride for us to announce the opening of our hotel in Qatar. With Qatar’s economy expanding rapidly, there’s an increasing demand for the unique services from Qatari and expatriate residents, visitors and businesspersons. This makes it an excellent time for us to become a part of the country’s burgeoning hospitality industry that serves such a large variety of people,” a group spokesperson said.
Located in West Bay, the hotel is surrounded by commercial and government entities. “The facilities and the relaxing atmosphere make the Governor West Bay an ideal residential address for everyone in Qatar looking for a restful getaway as well as business persons and tourists,” said Jean-Patrick Thierry, managing director, Governor West Bay.
“The advantage of living in Governor West Bay is that they can obtain luxurious accommodation in a central location with all the amenities at their disposal. With each suite equipped with cooking facilities, guests have the option of either cooking for themselves or dining at the hotel’s in-house fine dining restaurant that provides multiple
culinary options.”
The hotel also provides an entire 1,200 sq m business floor that can accommodate 350 persons. It is divided into six sections and the entire floor is dedicated to conference rooms, meeting rooms which are fully equipped with audio-visual equipment and all other facilities required for meetings and special occasions.
Amedei, an award-winning Italian chocolate boutique, which offers 32 different types of chocolates, is also making its debut in Qatar at Governor West Bay.
Other facilities offered by Governor West Bay comprise separate spas for women and men, gym, a covered two-metre deep swimming pool with adjustable temperature, sauna and Jacuzzi.
The hotel, which began operations in April this year, reached full-occupancy by August.
