BMW has registered record growth in Qatar in the first half of 2013, a top official has said.
Frank Nadler, area sales manager, BMW Middle East, disclosed this while speaking at the launch of the new BMW 4 Series Coupe held at the Alfardan Automobiles showroom, West Bay on Monday.
Nadler said, “Qatar is the third largest market for BMW among GCC countries. Alfardan Automobiles, the authorised dealer of BMW has recorded around 28% of growth in sales in the first six months of 2013 in Qatar.”
Meanwhile, the all-new BMW 4 Series Coupe embodies the sporty nature of the premium segment in every aspect of its design, performance and dynamics. The ‘4’ in its model designation signals outstanding styling, positioning while emphasising standalone design and  greater technical differentiation.
Mohamed Kandeel, general manager of Alfardan Automobiles, said: “The all-new BMW 4 Series Coupe has been one of the most eagerly anticipated cars in recent times thanks to its perfect blend of design, sporting performance and advanced technology. Our customers are constantly on the lookout for the best and most premium vehicles. It is an exciting new addition to our portfolio of BMW vehicles.” The muscular design of the new car highlights its dynamic abilities and the wide air-intake in the front apron accentuates the vehicle’s increased width. The new model is visibly larger in width and wheelbase, and its dynamically stretched coupe silhouette sits considerably lower to the road. This, together with its hallmark BMW short overhangs, a long bonnet and set-back passenger compartment with flowing roofline, gives the BMW 4 Series Coupe a balanced appearance.
The sporty character of the car is equally apparent in the car’s rear with horizontal lines and L-shaped LED tail lights. Another distinctive element in the rear design is the bumper. The two tailpipes are enclosed by the bumper, and are flanked by small upward sweeps for added dynamism and sophistication.
The interior of the car is dominated by BMW individual colours of black and Schiparelli brown as well as sustainably tanned leather. The seats have decorative hand-plaited leather elements running along the seat edges. The new BMW 4 Series Coupe will have alternate interior options under the ‘Sport’, ‘Luxury’ and ‘Modern’ lines as well as the M Sport Package.
