Sharaf DG, the UAE’s leading electronics retailer which opened “Qatar’s largest electronics destination” at Ezdan Mall yesterday, has plans for expansion in the country.
“Jointly with our partner Qatari Investors Group Trading, we look forward to bringing new concepts to Qatar,” said Yasser Sharaf, managing director of Sharaf DG.
Spread over 31,000sqft of retail space on the first floor of Qatar’s newest mall, located in Gharafa next to Al Shamal Road, Sharaf DG marks the business house’s foray into the third territory outside the UAE. Sharaf DG has outlets in Oman and Bahrain.
“Along with our award-winning, world-class service, we bring to Qatar a wide range of electronic products across categories from top brands, at the best price that Sharaf DG is famous for,” Sharaf claimed.
Over 18,000 products from more than 300 global brands in categories such as consumer electronics, home entertainment, IT, telecommunications, home appliances and marine electronics are available.
“The store will have only Sharaf DG employees and no merchandisers promoting any particular brand,” Sharaf added.
The 24-hour Brand Promise, extended warranty, DG Remote, DG Recovery and the best price guarantee are among the salient features offered by the retailer.
“If a product is not available in Sharaf DG but available in Qatar, the customer will get a confirmation to provide the same in 24 working hours, failing which we will gift vouchers equivalent to the value of the product,” explained Nilesh Khalkho, CEO.
DG Remote offers expert assistance online to help customers with any software and peripheral installation, network setup, troubleshooting and optimisation. DG Recovery extends support to retrieve lost data from any storage device.
“We will make all efforts to match the prices of other retailers and wherever possible match the UAE prices also,” Khalkho said.
Sharaf DG has tied up with customer loyalty programme Air Miles. “We have the largest loyalty member base in the region,” claimed Mark Mortimer Davies, managing director, Air Miles Middle East.
Customers can collect one Air Mile for every QR1.5 spent on electronics and one Air Mile for every QR1 spent on accessories. Further, 14,000 Air Miles can be redeemed for a discount of QR100 on in-store purchases instantly.
Malik Qaiser Awan, general manager of Ezdan Mall, said Sharaf DG will be one of the best stores in Qatar.
“We are confident of having got the right partner for Ezdan Mall, which has launched 70 new brands in Qatar,” he said.
