The sun sets behind a construction site in Yangon, Myanmar, yesterday. Thailand’s largest industrial conglomerate Siam Cement Group has announced an investment of 12.4bn Thai baht ($389mn) to construct its first integrated cement plant in Myanmar. This 1.8mn tonne cement plant will be located in Mawlamyine and is expected to start-up production by mid-2016.
