The Bright Future Pakistani International School (BFPIS) bagged the first position, while the Pakistan Education Centre took the second and third positions in the class XII board examinations among all the Pakistani schools in Qatar.
Bright Future’s Masooma Safeer scored 978 marks out of 1,100 to bag the first position, while PEC’s Abeer Nazeer secured 945 to come second.
Another PEC student, Sania Hussain, got 944 marks and came third in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Part-II 2013Annual Examination results conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad.
The pass percentage at BFPIS was 90%. The other Bright Future students who secured high marks included Maysa Nasir (941 marks), Maria Fatima (883), Fatima Haji (874), Dania Farooq (855), Sara Akram (854), Aqsa Javed (820), Ijlal Muneeb (813) and Ibrahim Shah (813).
BFPIS chairman Abdul Rahman al-Meer and principal Imran Waheed congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements and lauded the efforts of their staff.
The other PEC students who scored high marks included Nadia Abdul Karim (921), Talal Mahfooz (916) , Hamza Mohamed (903), Amara Hoor (900), Kashaf Najeeb (900), Zartasha Arooj (900), Muteeba Fayyaz (884), Mohamed Waleed Shahbaz (875), Hasham Shahid (869), Mohamed Umar Jamil (867), Mahnoor Sultana (848), Meshal Pervez (844), Maria Farooq (841), Zimara Afzal (840), Aysha Jamal Uddin (836), Ashar Hafeez (835), Ghina Haroon (828), Mohamed Umar (827), Ahmed Hazrat Gul (818), Mohamed Jawad (810) Fatima Ghulam (809), Salma Bibi (805), Ibtisam Latif (790), Hina (786), Huma (785), Salman Saeed (780), Abdul Aziz (778) and Sara Sameer (773).
As many as 150 PEC students had appeared for the exams out of which 137 passed; of them,  nine secured A one grades, 21 A grades and 32 B grades. The overall pass percentage at PEC was 91.33%.
PEC principal Nargis Raza Otho congratulated the students, staff and parents and hoped that they would continue with their efforts in bringing more laurels for the school.
Girls at Pak Shamaa School outshone the boys in the results with Nida Nasir (919) coming first, Kiran Shazadi (841) second and Fatima Mohamed Bilal (835) third. The pass percentage at the school was 93%.
The school’s committee president M A Shahid congratulated his staff on the occasion.
