Indian national Basheer Noor Mohamed died in Doha on August 10 following a protracted illness, his friends and family said yesterday. He was 50.
Basheer, who came from Chittoor in Palakkad District, Kerala, had been a Qatar resident since 1991.
He worked as a driver for a company.
The deceased is survived by his wife Fathima and two children Sameer and Shaeen. His brother Shahabudeen also works in Qatar.
Basheer was a member of the Muslim Association of Palakkad District Qatar (MAP Qatar).
