The Emergency Department at Hamad Medical Corporation yesterday received more than 730 cases. Some 18 of these patients were seen at the Heart Hospital. One of them was admitted to intensive care unit. Two persons were treated for road accident injuries. Most of the cases were related to stomach problems and complications due to acute diseases. Paediatric Emergency centres around the country received more than 700 sick children. Only a few cases required intensive medical care though. On Friday, the Emergency Department received more than 580 cases.
