Saby Cardozo, a Qatar resident for the last 34 years, died at the Hamad Hospital on July 29 after a brief illness, family sources yesterday said. He was 62.
Cardozo (Pictured) hailed from Chandor, Goa, but had settled down in Mumbai, India.
“He was actively involved in social and cultural activities and was always keen to assist those who were in need of help,” his friends said.
He is survived by his wife Henrietta Cardozo, presently working for Qatar Airways and three sons- Clinton Cardozo residing in New Zealand, Charleston and Clifton Cardozo, who live in Qatar.
A prayer service will be held at the Hamad mortuary at 4pm on Monday, 6th August, before the body will be flown to India for the final rites.
