Filipino policemen block protesters against the recent oil price hikes outside the gates of Pandacan Oil Depot in Manila yesterday. Protesters in their statement condemned the recent oil price hikes and call for the abolition of the Oil Deregulation Act. Based on their calculations costs of oil already rose nine times since January 2013, reaching an accumulated increase of 5.85 Philippine pesos per litre of diesel and 5.45 Philippine pesos per litre of gasoline.
