The toll in the Lusail road accident on Thursday rose to seven yesterday with an Indian expatriate who was seriously injured in the crash being declared dead at the Hamad hospital. Of the seven victims, five were Nepalese nationals and the remaining two were Indians. The latest casualty was identified as Jose Thomas alias Raju, (38), who came to Qatar seven months ago. He was from Eravipuram in Kerala’s Kollam district. Thomas leaves behind his wife and two children. The other Indian victim, Augustine Marian, also was from Kollam district and he too had come to Doha only a few months ago. The tragedy in Lusail was the worst road accident in Qatar in recent years.
