As in previous years, the country’s leading hotels have lined up an array of events for their guests during Ramadan.

The St Regis Doha offers lavish buffets inspired by Qatari traditions for Iftar and Suhour. The Grand Ballroom will be transformed into a luxurious Arabian-style tent with private cabanas, personal butler service and live world-class Arabic entertainment.

The St Regis tent  features elegant drapes, regional artworks, festive table decoration and six beautifully adorned private cabanas designed to accommodate families and friends in  privacy, according to a hotel spokesperson. Each cabana includes a  butler for personalised service as well as its own flat screen television so that guests could enjoy their favourite Ramadan show while enjoying their meal.

During their Ramadan experience, families and friends will enjoy the sound of the famous Laialy El Nagham, the resident band of the Cairo Opera House, which will play a selection of classical  Arabian music during Suhour.  Guests could enjoy a signature shisha and order food from the al a carte menu at an indoor shisha garden and lounge.

The children’s recreation room will feature a junior buffet and provide younger guests with an entertainment programme throughout the evening . This year, guests could also experience Ramadan at Al Sultan Brahim, where they will be serving food prepared using traditional Arabic recipes.  In addition to Iftar, Al Sultan Brahim will  offer an early suhour that starts at 8pm and includes their famous blend of shisha.

“This is our second Ramadan at the St Regis Doha; We want to ensure every element of our guests experience is memorable”, said Tareq Derbas, general manager at the St Regis Doha.

For the second year, the hotel will be supporting Reach Out To Asia throughout Ramadan, with a range ofinitiatives designed to raise funds for key projects and encourage people to consider those less fortunate during the holy month. Commercial Bank of Qatar has returned as platinum sponsor and BMW is the official silver sponsor for 2013.

The St Regis Doha tent will serve Iftar daily from sunset to 7:30pm and suhour from 9pm until 2am.

Governor West Bay Suites and Residence  provides a  “luxurious and relaxing” Ramadan experience to all guests. The hotel’s multicultural staff has undergone intensive training sessions to get well-acquainted with the customs and traditions of the country, said general manager Magdy Shoukry.

Shoukry said: “A large number of our guests are families from the GCC region who are in Qatar on a long-term basis. Our goal during Ramadan has always been to make our guests feel at home. Everyone is welcome here, anyone who seeks a comfortable and peaceful Ramadan experience.”

Keeping in line with the spirit of Ramadan, the hotel is offering its guests “complete culinary experiences” through its  Iftar and Suhour buffets at the Red restaurant and the shisha terrace. Catering for these meals is also available. Ramadan sweets and desserts are available for take away purchase too..

At Sharq Village and Spa the holy month is held with festivities that promises to delight everyone. From the majestic Seher Al Sharq tent and extravagant buffet spreads to luxurious room stays, festivities at the hotel will provide an authentic Arabian experience.
