The fire at Pearl Qatar last night

A fire broke out in an uninhabited area in the Pearl Qatar island development last night.
Sources told Gulf Times that fire started around 9.30pm and it was burning even at 11pm.
“However, the situation seems to be very much under control,” said a resident in the area who added that the fire broke out well away from the mainstream locations housing a number of people.
The area where the fire broke out housed some temporary project offices of the construction companies executing work in the community development. However, those offices usually work only in the day time. A concrete batching plant also functioned in the area.
Firefighting teams of the Civil Defence were tackling the blaze late last night and no injuries were reported at least until 11pm.
A fire had broken out in the Pearl Qatar island in the second week of June. It occurred on one of the top floors of a building under construction.
