A senior non-commissioned officer of the US Military, serving with the St George-based 308th Medical Logistics Company, has died at Camp As-Sayliyah on the outskirts of Doha last Wednesday.

First Sgt. Tracy L Stapley, pictured, 44, was a native of Clearfield, according to www.thespectrum.com, which quoted a news release issued on Thursday by the Defence Department.

“All that we know right now is that it was a noncombat-related death and that it is being investigated,” said Captain Chad Nixon, a public affairs officer with Utah’s Fort Douglas-based 807th Medical Deployment Support Command, which the 308th supports as a subordinate unit.

Stapley is survived by his wife and a son who is attending the US Military Academy at West Point. He is also survived by his father.
