Standard Chartered has launched the Al Massar Development Programme in line with the bank’s “commitment to promote local talent” in Qatar.
Al Massar, a leadership development initiative, contributes to ongoing local talent training programme for all Qataris working with the bank.
The inaugural workshop was held at the St Regis Hotel recently. The workshop made up of four independent modules was designed to equip participants with necessary tools, skill and knowledge to help participants perform to a higher level in their current roles as well as assist them in career progression.
Standard Chartered Bank Qatar chief executive officer Charles Carlson said, “We are committed to developing our local talent pool in Qatar. The Al Massar programme is one way for Standard Chartered to build and sustain a strong pipeline of quality Qatari talent with the right skills and experience to lead the bank over the next decade and beyond.

Each Al Massar session provides participants with the opportunity to meet and interact with senior officials and executives in the bank, who answer questions and share their own experiences.
