Marzooq Al Shamlan & Sons (MSS), the leading Qatari company in the watch business, has recognised the services of two of its long-serving employees at a special event held at Radisson Blu on Tuesday.
Mubarak Jaber al-Muftah, who has completed 57 years, and K V Ramakrishnan (Ravi), who has a 25-year career, were honoured by MSS managing director Mohamed al-Shamlan and deputy managing director Tariq al-Shamlan.
Video presentations showcasing memorable moments from the careers of Mubarak and Ravi were screened at the event attended by their well-wishers and other senior officials and staff members of MSS.
“MSS believes in its people,” said Mohamed al-Shamlan while lauding the commitment and dedication of both Mubarak and Ravi and quoted several memorable moments from their careers, starting from the very early days as a small business and through various stages of its growth over the years.
Tariq al-Shamlan recalled knowing Mubarak from his childhood and described Ravi as a family member. Mubarak thanked Mohamed al-Shamlan and Tariq al-Shamlan for giving the opportunity to serve MSS for the past 57 years and also thanked every member of the MSS family for organising the event.
Ravi paid tribute to all the individuals who made a difference in his life and career and supported his growth with MSS. TechnoBlue general manager K V Gopal, International Tire Centre manager Vishwas, Kemco group of companies administration director M I Farid, and Al Sharif Trading (Dubai) director Amin offered felicitations. A special memento was presented to Radisson Blu, the venue for all MSS events in the past two decades. The hotel’s sales and public relations manager, Ali Battah, received it from Mohamed al-Shamlan. MSS supply chain manager Ramesh Rajan welcomed the gathering while brand development head Sreeram proposed the vote of thanks.
