Qatar Petroleum’s Central Library conducted a free book distribution programme for the benefit of QP employees and their families. Over 6,000 old books, CDs and DVDs were handed over by the QP Central Library team to more than 250 people of all ages who visited the library during the programme. The goal of the free book distribution programme was to promote a love for books, reading and literacy through multilingual and multicultural activities. The initiative was in line with the role of QP’s Central Library to support the information needs of its users so that they could contribute in achieving the mission and goals of the corporation.
