Iqra for Administrative Consultancies Company (IFAC) which was  launched yesterday will introduce more international schools in Qatar, it has been announced.
The schools will adopt both Arabic and English curricula, and the company will provide quality supplies to  various educational bodies in the country.
“Currently, we have three primary schools. We are broadening our scope of educational services and supplies in Qatar.
“The primary schools teach international English curriculum while adopting a conservative Qatari approach. In the near future, we would have more preparatory and secondary schools based on the positive feedback and demand we get,” said IFAC chairperson Sheikha Noura bint Nasser al-Thani.
Michelle Wilson al-Helou, CEO of IFAC, said the vision of the schools is to offer high quality education while retaining the original values of the local society.
“We aim at raising young people proud of their origin and culture, but open to others and their diversified cultures. We educate our students on how to accept others through a modern and interactive educational approach,” she said, stressing that Iqra schools have a very active role in different charitable and voluntary works as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Al-Helou said Iqra schools currently have more than 1,000 students at the primary stage and expects more to join as the company implements its expansion plans.
She said the scope of the company covers a wide range of educational services and supplies including school furnishings, equipment, textbooks and various educational materials.  
“The company is keen to offer high quality products from different sources around the world, to cater to the needs of the local market,” said Rajwan Kattan, IFAC financial manager.
