Qatar Vinyl Company (QVC) defeated Al Fardan by 30 runs in the final of the Bin Ghalib Floodlit Cricket Tournament (Second Division) at the Floodlit Old Ideal Indian School ground. |
After winning the toss, QVC elected to bat and put up a total of 115 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 12 overs. Ramzan scored 35 runs with three sixes and three boundaries. Faisal made 17 runs with a six and a boundary.
Mohammed Gafoor also added 14 runs with a six and a boundary.
Zameer and Bachchu took two wickets each, while Ikram, Najeem, Akram and Ilyas claimed a wicket each.
In reply, Al Fardan could only manage 85 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 12 overs. Faizan was the top scorer with 22 runs (one six and 3 boundaries). Mufees remained not out on 15.
Ikram also contributed 13 runs. Murthy and Farhan took two wickets each while Ibrahim, Ramzan, Abubaker, Sultan and Faisal claimed a wicket each.
Ramzan of QVC was declared man of the match and best batsman of the tournament.
QVC’s Farhan was adjudged best bowler, while Tahir of QVC declared best all-rounder of the tournament. Al Fardan’s Faizan was declared best wicket-keeper of the tournament.
Deputy General Manager of Bin Ghalib Engineering Saquib Raza Khan distributed the prizes. Marketing Manager of Bin Ghalib Engineering Shakil Moidin and Chief Financial Officer of Al-Fardan Moheib were also present on the occasion.
