Qatar-based Pakistani schools performed well in the SSC (Part 2) examination conducted by Pakistan’s Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Islamabad) in March.
The results of the examination were published on Thursday.
While children of Bright Future Pakistani International School (BFPIS) made a clean sweep of the top positions in Qatar, Pakistan Education Centre (PEC) recorded a 100% pass in the results announced. Pak Shamaa School & College had 95% pass percentage.
At the PEC where 160 appeared for the examination, 43 students got A1 grade, 41 students got `A’ grade and 35 got the `B’ grade.
BFPIS student Sarah Aziz topped in Qatar, scoring 966/1050 marks (92%). Meanwhile, the school authorities have said in a statement that BFPIS has been maintaining top position among the country’s Pakistani schools in the last three years in the SSC (Part 2) examination.
School students, Nayab Masood (959), Wajiha Rehman (958), Tajala Fayyaz (957) and Ambrin Riaz (953) were placed in positions from second to fifth in Qatar. The other good performers from the BFPIS were Sabahat Shoukat (950), Aleena (929), Asma Mushtaq (906), Baligha Hamid (904) and Maryam Mazhar (886).BFPIS chairman Abdul Rahman Mohamed al-Meer and principal Mussarat Irfan have hailed the achievement of the school students in the examination. While congratulating the students, they also hailed the support extended to the success by the school’s teachers and parents.
Irfan said the school had 43 students appearing for the examination, of whom, 16 got A1 grade and 13 got A grade.
Sabahat Shoukat (950 marks), Aleena (929), Asma Mushtaq (906), Baligha Hamid (904) and Maryam Mazhar (886) were the other good performers.
At the PEC, Nadia Khan with 952 marks secured the sixth position overall in Qatar. Anum Mansoor and Aemon Yaqoob Qamar scored 946 marks each while Maryam Habib Ahmad stood third in the school with 940 marks. Talal Ali (921), Muhib-ur-Rahman (915) and Waseeq-ur-Rahman (905) were the other notable performers.
The students who got A1 grade from PEC are Naila Sana (930), Aisha (842) , Bibi Fatima (869), Mariam Noor (909), Mahnaz Naeem (881) , Saira Farooq (907) , Shiama (866) , Sidra Mateen (922), Sana Kayani (864) , Zirwa Siddique Rana (878) , Naveen Tariq (905) , Kainat Malik (843) , Iqra Nasir (931) , Haleema Hanif (841) , Eman M Kaleem (870), Aisha Adnan (868), Maha (851) , Naila (896) , Umaima Usman (866), Zahra (870) , Reda (861), Roqayya (847), Syed Ali Raza (847) , Shazil Ali (874), Shakir Saleem (855), Saif-Ur-Rahman (861), Saad Akbar(861) , Mohamed Usman (869) , Malik Amir Hamza (856) , Mahmood (877), Ameer Hamza (899) , Ahmad (842), Abdul Basit (844) , Abdullah Mohamed (854) , Omer (843) , Mohamed Tahir Akeel (852).
PEC Principal Nargis Raza Otho congratulated the students, teachers and parents on their achievement. She specifically lauded the efforts of Pakistan Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Sarfraz Ahmad Khanzada and the school’s board of governors for the academic accomplishments.
Ambassador Khanzada and the directors also praised the students. The envoy urged students and teachers to continue with their efforts in bringing more laurels for the institution.
At the Pak Shamaa School & College, which recorded 95% pass, the top scorers were Aysha Mohamed Sharif (925), Maira Javed (904) and Mohamed Osama Usman (892).
The school’s international stream had a 100% pass percentage. Principal Nabila Kaukab and school governing body president M A Shahid applauded the performers, teachers and parents.
