Geant Hypermarket at Hyatt Plaza is fast becoming a destination of choice for shoppers as customer numbers have been increasing every month since the opening of the store in February.
Al Meera Consumer Goods Company joined hands with Groupe Casino, one of the world’s largest French hypermarket chains, and Retail Arabia to bring the first Geant hypermarket to Qatar.

The opening of the first Geant store in Qatar followed an agreement between Al Meera and the French retailer to develop a network of hypermarkets and supermarkets under the Geant banner in select Middle East countries. The collaboration combines Al Meera’s strength in local retailing and knowledge of local needs with Groupe Casino’s expertise in hypermarket operations.

Special attention has been given to widening the products range to provide more choice to shoppers - both locals and expatriates.
To make shopping convenient and fun at the 12,500sq m (including mezzanine floor) hypermarket, Geant has laid special emphasis on easy-to-locate products, wide aisles, customer service and the exclusive use of digital pricing tags. Similarly, for the convenience of customers, all products have been displayed according to their respective categories.
