Imran Ashraf’s all-round contribution and a half-century by Naveed earned Al Feroz Youngsters Club a 14-run victory against Asian Cricket Club in the final of Division A Twenty20 Cricket Tournament.

The tournament for Division A and B teams was organised by the Qatar Cricket Association.

At the West Bay Grounds, Al Feroz, batting first, made a healthy 159 for seven in 20 overs. Naveed played a fantastic knock of 56. He was ably backed up by Ashraf, who contributed 42 runs. Naveed picked up two wickets.

While chasing, Asian Club could only post 145 for nine. Abbas remained unbeaten at 30, while Qamar Sadiq made 32 and Awais hit 27. Ashraf was the pick of the bowlers, grabbing three wickets. Inam and Nadeem shared four other wickets.

Qatar Cricket Association general secretary Manzoor Ahmad presided over the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes. Those present on the occasion included Gul Mohammad Khan Jadoon (Head of Domestic Cricket), Syed Hassan Raza,  Amin Ul Islam ,Shamsudin, Shashi Patra , Mohammad Jahangir , Jamshaid Ahmad, Mohammad Nawas  and Abdul Rehman (coach).
