The British Council Qatar has started enrolment for its summer school courses offering innovative English language training for adults and young learners.
Recognising the requirement of the multinational community in Qatar, the British Council has formulated a versatile programme that complements school curricula and work-related requirements for presentations and project work.
The programme meets summer school entrants at their point of need and builds on their current skill levels.
The British Council has accommodated different age groups covering juniors (7-10 years), seniors (11-14 years) and young adults (15-17 years) in the young learners category, with classes for adults open to all ages.
Lucas Bak, the Deputy Teaching Centre Manager, said the British Council has just added a new Business English course, which is attracting a lot of interest too. They will also continue with the IELTS preparation courses, which have a great reputation for helping students acquire effective test taking strategies.
The British Council has planned three rounds of summer school, with the first set to begin on June 1 and conclude on July 4. Those interested can register from May 25 to 30.
The second round begins on July 13 and concludes on August 7 with registrations opening from July 6 to 11.
The final round will begin on August 25 and conclude on September 12 with registrations opening from August 18 to 22.
The programme runs for different lengths of time, depending on the age group, taking from three to five weeks, with four lessons scheduled per week. There are morning and evening classes, offering students the flexibility they need to pick a schedule that best suits them.
The innovative English language training is for adults and young learners.
